My name is Elena Rose Morones, but people just call me Ellie. I was born and grew up in Portland, Oregon five minutes outside of downtown.

I attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 2016, which is a public school right in the middle of downtown Portland. Things I love about Portland are: the architecture, food, fashion, sports, and people.

 

I chose to apply and persue Kivu Gap Year because I found myself on the outside of the rage of going to college right after high school and immediatly began to consider alternative learning options.
